PlayStation Store reveals the most downloaded games of 2021

With 2021 officially in the rearview mirror, Sony has shared a couple of lists comprising the best games were sold on PlayStation Store. One of these lists focuses on PlayStation 5, while the other focuses on PlayStation 4. Of course, there are many more owners than PS4 PS5, and were not offered specific sales data. Despite this, there are a number of interesting things can be deduced watching these lists. While many of the games in each list remained the same, its location was significantly different. The Top 10 in North America for both consoles can be found below.

Call of Duty: Vanguard PS5 Second place in the top 10 of PS5 is quite impressive, since it was launched in November. As @BenjiSales analyst said earlier this week digital sales for Vanguard PS5 actually slipped behind Spider-Man Marvel: Miles Morales in December. That says a lot about how strong must have been digital sales of the game in its debut month!

While 2022 has just begun, there is already a significant amount of games for PlayStation fans excited this year, including major releases like Horizontal Best spaces and gran 7 tourism, which will be launched in the first quarter of the year. Both games are scheduled to launch both PS4 and PS5, so it will be interesting to see where they stand on these lists of the top 10 next year. The initial advantage could propel them to the top of the list, or major releases of the fourth quarter could again dominate. PlayStation fans will just have to wait and see!
