Bethesda details update options to Skyrim Anniversary Edition

Bethesda has confirmed the price and update options of Skyrim Anniversary Edition, the reissue of the veteran RPG that will be published this week. If you have the Special Edition of 2016, the jump to the new edition (what Bethesda calls the anniversary upgrade) costs 20 euros; If not, the official price is 55 euros.

A larger, on day 11 (date of the tenth anniversary of Skyrim) will be published the update for new generation of the game, free and compatible with the Special and Anniversary editions. This update does not include additional content, but it does improve graphics, load times and more, explains Bethesda.

Skyrim Anniversary Edition will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. Thus, it is not strictly necessary to jump from generation to update this new edition, although it is worth taking into account a small inconvenience that also comments Bethesda: If the jump occurs between PS4 and PS5, the unlocked trophies will not pass from a version A other. In the rest of cases, both progress and achievements or trophies are maintained.

Game Pass also runs out of this Anniversary Edition, by the way. The Special Edition is available in the Special Edition, but to take the jump to the new version and access the extra content, you will have to pay the same 20 euros.

It is a upgrade path, as it is now said, relatively complicated for a game like this, which is fundamentally the same as it was (RE) published in 2016 with a good handful of extra content of the Creation Club, the mods platform designed to officialize The work of the fans. This new reissue adds 500 pieces of the Creation Club, from enemies or weapons to houses or pets.
